Tias Eckhoff, 1926-2016, Norwegian designer; brother of Torstein Eckhoff. With a lifelong association with Porsgrunds Porselænsfabrik (artistic director 1953-60), Tias Eckhoff helped to continue the simplified, functionalist line, which is reflected in the Regent coffee set (1961). Tias Eckhoff also designed the Cypress cutlery (1952-53) for Georg Jensen Silversmiths. He received the Lunning Prize in 1953.
