His commitment was to design beautiful and stylish things that were practical, useful and usable. At the age of 23, he began designing for Georg Jensen Silversmiths. His style was elegant, distinguished with a preference for geometric figures, spheres, cylinders and funnels with engraved lines and vertical parallel lines, which was not modern Swedish style, a departure from the typical Danish Georg Jensen style.
