Description

Anton Michelsen Gilded Sterling Silver Christmas Spoon 1994. In good condition.
Designed by: Janus Ipsen , f. 1936, Danish painter and graphic artist. Ipsen , who trained as a commercial artist, is like painting a self-taught. After a brief interlude as expressionist, he turned in the 1970s against a precise painterly design of a symbolic-surreal universe. Here he seems complex and undefinable spaces populate the shadows, silhouettes and human bodies without identity, and despite the images clear and bright colors more than hinted existential fragmentation and disintegration. He has been a member of Grønningen since 1972 and has since 1979 lived in New York.
