Tias Eckhoff, 1926-2016, Norwegian designer; brother of Torstein Eckhoff. With a lifelong association with Porsgrunds Porselænsfabrik (artistic director 1953-60), Tias Eckhoff helped to continue the simplified, functionalist line, which is reflected in the Regent coffee set (1961).

Lundtofte
Lundtofte is a Danish manufacturer of cutlery and kitchen accessories. The company was established in 1910 by Poul August Lund and his brother Jørgen Christian Lund in Lundtofte, a suburb of Copenhagen. Here is a brief history of Lundtofte cutlery:
1. **Establishment of the company:** In 1910, brothers Poul August Lund and Jørgen Christian Lund founded the Lundtofte company in Lundtofte. They started by producing silverware and cutlery.
2. **Increased popularity:** Lundtofte cutlery gained popularity for its quality products and aesthetic design. The company focused on creating functional and beautiful cutlery that could appeal to a wide audience.
3. **Development of Materials:** In addition to traditional silverware, Lundtofte also started working with other materials such as stainless steel and silver plate. This made their products more accessible to a wider market.
4. **Design and Innovation:** Lundtofte cutlery became known for its modern design and innovative approach to form and function. Their cutlery collections reflected the design trends of the time and were popular among consumers.
5. **Succeeding Generations:** After the Lund brothers, Poul Lund's son, Finn Lund, took over the company. Lundtofte continued to produce high-quality cutlery and their products were also exported to other countries.
6. **Bankruptcy:** Unfortunately, Lundtofte experienced financial challenges and in 1991 the company went bankrupt. This marked the end of an era for Lundtofte as an independent cutlery manufacturer.
Although Lundtofte as an independent company no longer exists, Lundtofte cutlery can still be found on the market as antiques or as items in private collections. Lundtofte cutlery has become a nostalgic symbol of Danish design and craftsmanship tradition.
